Charges Dropped Against Innocent Woman With Fairly Average Intelligence
The Pittsburg Tribune-Review reports that charges have been dropped against a Jeanette woman who paid for a purchase at the Fashion Bug with a $200 bill bearing the likeness of George Bush. "How the heck was I supposed to know it wasn't real," said Deborah Trautwyne, who has since reimbursed the store. "It was green, and it had a picture of the president on it."
"Really," agreed Trautwyne's attorney, Harry Smail Jr. "How the heck was she supposed to know?"
The Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office was in 100% agreement, noting that the shop had been repaid and that anyhow, "a person's got to know their actions are illegal to be charged with a crime, and how the heck would she have known that? Sure fooled that girl down at the Fashion Bug, didn't it?"
"How the heck was I supposed to know," asked that girl down at the Fashion Bug. "George W Bush has a popular mandate, so it's only natural that he would be on the two hundred bill or something." |
