Washington Governor Reacts
to Hassle
Stating that she was getting sick and tired of all the name calling and mean
accusations, Washington Governor-elect Christine Gregoire has completely
capitulated to opponent Republican candidate Dino Rossi, who had maintained
a lead after the first recount. A second recount gave Ms. Gregoire a 129
point lead, and she was certified on Thursday. This did not defer Rossi,
however, who whined and whined and just wouldn't stop until you thought you
would go out of your head. Unbelievable!
First he asks for another recount, and then he
asks for a whole new election! "Oh, so who's gonna pay for it," I ask, and
in that smarmy voice of his he tells me, "Maybe my friends will, I've got
supporters who would..." and on and on about his big shot Republican
friends. And he tells me how they're all going to call me a cheater and
Madam Illegitimate Governor. Gag me, okay?
Now supposedly he's going to take the whole
thing to court, and I say just screw it. I do not need this hassle. If he
wants the job so bad he can have it, and as far as I'm concerned, the great
state of Washington can just go to hell. |
