Howard Dean Makes Verbal Gaffe
In an unguarded moment during a
luncheon today with other top party officials, new DNC Chair Howard Dean
accidentally used the word po-tah-to to describe the brown-skinned tuber
that he wished to have along side his steak. New York Republican
state GOP Chairman Stephen Minarik was quick to pounce on
this verbal gaffe. "Howard Dean is the personification of today's national
Democratic Party - elite, radical, out-of-control, and sadly out-of-touch
with ordinary Americans. Real people call those things potatoes. Po-tah-to,
man that is so French. I bet he eats to-mah-tos on his cheeseburgers. That
is, if he eats cheeseburgers at all."
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist agreed. "Hoo
hah, that's a good one. Po-tah-to. I'll bet those Demoncrats are worried
now. Earth to Dean - them things is called taters". |

I was talking to my
television co-host the other day when he said something that just grilled my
cheese. "Hannity," he says, "I don't think any of your stupid listeners have
ever completed one of your puzzles. That's pretty sad". "Colmes," I told
him, "You're the stupid one. My puzzles may be hard, but you liberals are
the only ones that have the time to sit around doing word games. My
listeners have jobs". Which is the truth. On the other hand, I know just how
