In a festive ceremony at Buckingham Palace this
morning, the Prince of Darkness met the Queen of England and was knighted as
Sir Satan. This was his first meeting with the Queen since he received the
OBE back in 1999.
"This is a great day for me, a great, great
honor. I love seeing the Queen and I have always been a royalist. She is
lovely and she will stay lovely as long as I have anything to say about it.
She has got a great smile, have you ever noticed that? Her whole face lights
up when she smiles. And don't even get me started on those legs."
Sir Satan, whose career spans some six thousand
years and whose hits include such numbers as 'It's Not Unusual' and 'What's
Up Pussycat', has experienced a career upsurge in recent years. "The old
fans never really went away and the new ones are just fantastic. I invite
everyone, young and old, to catch the act in Vegas. It's a hell of a show."
The Dark One next appears at the MGM Grand,
