Angel's Flapping
I may have done Cardinal Connell a disservice yesterday in describing his doctoral thesis. I leave it to him to describe his studies. Unfortunately, at the same time he managed to insult the head of the Protestant Church of Ireland, to suggest that he embodied the entire catholic congregation, and to read a failure to invite him to speak at a symposium as a calculated insult to him- and therefore to all right thinking Catholics- from the oldest College in the country. It's this facility to shoot himself in the foot (and to reveal his rather absurd vision of his own importance) which has him sending out stooges to make statements, rather than answering questions himself.
But he did set us all straight on that angel thing.
