Theoretically Speaking. Professor Lawrence Solum "collects his thoughts about current developments in normative legal theory and jurisprudence" on his Legal Theory weblog. Bound to broaden my horizons, and maybe yours. [Via JURIST] [Bag and Baggage]

I'm so glad that this is here. Something to add to my collection of legal theory links.

I've been a little sick lately - and when I haven't been sick, I've been away from my desk and so haven't been able to update this.

I have two big complaints against the Radio software for blogging.
1. It is so easy to lose entries by inopportunately clicking the browser's back button. See my previous rant about this
here.
2. It is difficult to maintain the blog from multiple computers. I know there is the update by email feature - but that seems too difficult to use, and needs to have the one computer on all the time. Frankly, I don't feel daring enough to use it.

Hence the reason for this mirror site in LiveJournal. When I'm drafting a long rant or am away from the PC with the Radio software, I'll update the LiveJournal version first, and will copy the entry into the main version at the 1st opportunity.

There are a few drawbacks with LiveJournal. You have to specify links in the HTML code, there's no equivalent news aggregator, there's no category function. Also there are no easy ways of linking directly to specific entries or dates.

On the other hand, it's easy to click back to all the older entries - they don't just drop away. There is an RSS feed available - although I won't be publicizing this while the Radio/Salon is still my offical blog software. There are security options - so I can make particularly explosive rants only viewable by my LiveJournal friends. Plus I can delete comments - whereas Radio only lets you enable or disable the comment function.
