The V8 clone was "finished" by running it through a blender to break up the little bits, which I've since learned (thanks LRJ) likely to be tomato seeds. It was thick enough that I added it to sauteed onions, garlic, green pepper, and sausage for marinara of sorts. Tasty. The ingredients for 1 gallon sauce/V8: 12 pounds tomatoes, 2 packages watercress, 2 bunches parsley, 1 cluster celery, 2 pounds carrots. 1 head lettuce, 1 package spinach, and 4 golf ball sized baby beets (infanticide!). It is thick enough that it could probably be stretched-out to 6 quarts.
