Stopped by the bar tonight, yes I did, the good ol' Armadillo to see my friends there who probably thought me dead. Drank a beer, maybe two, yes I did, first and second in the last three weeks and they tasted pretty good.

I've been wanting to say more about kniife-sharpening and I think Michael is an expert in that area. I said I heard the Lansky system was pretty good, but he said no, what you want is the EdgePro system if you want to sharpen kitchen knives. Unlike the Lansky, famous for its clamp, it's a radial sharpener that isn't clamped. Looks pretty good, but as expensive as a good electric sharpener like Chef's Choice. I've got a Chef's Choice, but am keepin ' an eye on that EdgePro system.

Got some yellow squash to saute tonight, will pitch with some strips of sun-dried tomatoes when the pan gets some liquid, maybe cook them down with a splash of white wine. A grilled pork loin chop will round out the plate.

Just changed my link to Christopher Key's Barbaric Yawp. The number to remember, if you're doing the same is blogs.salon.com /0001811/, more simply put 1811, one less than 1812, the cannons, and ringing church bells of Tchaikovsky. Never one to be anticlimactic, Christopher chose a penultimate number for his new URL. Be patient, his Radio Is Broken, but not his thoughts soaring over the roofs of the world.

Scientists Discover Evidence Of Lott's Career Move On Lunar Surface!

(Paul Krugman sees "buyer remorse", but it might only be a visual artifact, an aberrant reflection* from a silver nose)

*This traveler cannot answer these things.  He can only keep moving, and try to follow the tiny star that flickers so far above him, hoping it's his true guidelight, and not simply an aberrant reflection from his over-loaded mind.

*Kincaid and Calkins (1991) described the use of a light box to examine lake trout (Salvlinus namay-cush) cataracts which presumably reduced any aberrant reflection.

*Never at one with itself though, Science Fiction has always been a place for border creatures of every kind. A speculative fiction that throws up more instruments of speculation than a looted hospital. As a motor of aberrant reflection it throws the truths that we are told about the world by (an) endlessly narcissistic father / critic / author / authority into the blender.
