Foodie Movie Alert!

Vatel. A great one! Here at IMDb and here at Netflix. With Gerard Depardieu, "the freedom Michael Caine", but bear with me, he's great this time - Uma Thurman (OOm-MA! Ooom-Mah!) and Timothy Spall, God bless us all, what if Babette had unlimited deficit spending for her feast? This is good, good, good. Yummy! Ummm...roast parrot.

A picture named chicken thighs done.jpg

Half a day later the thighs are done. The bones are soft enough to crumble with your fingertips. The skin is puffy and light. Looks pretty good, might make a nice sandwich with a roasted tomato and some provolone melted atop it all.

Seedless, five pounds, and perfectly spherical, Syngenta's patented minimelon — under the brand name PureHeart — went on sale this month and is already available in almost 30 states. Its introduction is one of the latest efforts by food scientists to satisfy consumers who increasingly favor ready-to-go meals and less troublesome food preparation.

pssst...hey. consumer, ya wanna buy a Nubian virgin with 16 pulsating nipples?

Confit-able

The thigh at the upper left appears to be the leader. The others are circling it and demonstrating submissive behavior in its general direction.

WHOOPS!

BALAD, Iraq, June 14 -- An attack on Iraqis here by U.S. troops after an American tank patrol was ambushed Friday morning killed seven people, not 27 as initially reported, U.S. military officials said today, and Iraqi witnesses said five of the dead were not involved in the ambush.

(remember body counts? Well, forget 'em, it's time for a BREAKING STORY at Fox News on what a lousy Non-Caucasian reporter Jayson Blair was...)
