A picture named Losing My Religion again.jpg Losing My Religion

The message from the previously United Kingdom is quite clear Tony Blair is goin’ down hard. The nuances are more subtle.

Bush’s lap dog Labor Boy will probably end up being replaced by a Tory, a puppy even more inclined to curl up in the neocon lap – like Maggie did for Ronnie. Since we’re now in the universe of power politics sans morality, that’s really bad news for the disenfranchised majority of this planet’s inhabitants.

Bush will discard the ever-trusting Tony like a two-dollar whore the minute his brain trust spots the strategic advantage. With the Democrats still cowering at the Cleland example and the size of the 2004 war chest, there will be, as in Iraq, absolutely no real resistance. Have a laugh at Tony’s expense for trusting an idiot. Bush's schoolmarm handlers will continue to parcel out token rewards to the yeasayers and continue to make the naysayers stand in the corner, but they'll drop Tony the minute they smell blood. So forget Loyalty and study Machiavelli.

They have.

Look at the numbers. If you had a stock that was $64 in April and is now $47, you'd be looking at a dramatic 25% drop in just two months. Blair lied and he is toast, rightfully, but look at the alternatives...a weakened Tony is better than another Mad Maggie.
