Bing Cherry Preserves

Printing up the labels is half the fun. I'm taking a couple pints with up to the Armadillo to see if I can scare up a pint of amber liquid with them.

Too much rain: We're waterlogged. Trees already stressed by the freezing rain of the winter are uprooting at the slightest provocation.

 

Good News: Even with the hot summer in Germany, they will not run out of beer.

"Brewers are working around the clock. Overtime is common, people are working weekends, and breweries are on triple shifts," said Erich Dederichs, managing director of the German Beer Brewers' Association.

So much for the bad press that Germans are losing their work ethic. When there's work to be done, they put their shoulders to the wheel.

Livening up a sausage patty

  1. Ordinary sausage patty
  2. Top with Tabasco ™, (spread it around a little)
  3. Add grated cheddar
  4. Tamp down cheddar with a fork after it softens
