In case you missed it, today was National Feel Good About Iraq Day! Many stories have been presented in the National Media (which doesn’t get a day until next April), but here’s a few you might have missed:

Ø       In Baghdad, former pornshop operator Galeb al’Khurmanji blew up his own place of business after meeting privately with Franklin Graham.

Ø       In Tikrit, hundreds of Iraqis congregated at the market just outside Saddam’s former Palace to marvel at a two-headed goat.

Ø       In Al Kut, a fisherman on the Tigris River reported that fish “literally jumped into his net.”

Ø       In Ar Rutbah, deep in the area once controlled by Saddam, a small child found a kitten missing since May 1.

Ø       In Mosul, a peasant reported that his Chai Kurdi was sweeter than it had been since 1968.

Could any of these things happened while Saddam was in power?

Damn - I was just beginning to groove on Emusic (following a recommendation Scott Rosenberg made in his blog a month or so ago) and now they changed the water in the middle of the horse's bath. Now you only get 40 downloads a month for $9.99. That's a quarter each. Not bad, I'm willing to pay that price, but not on a dubscription. Bye-bye, emusic.

("dubscription" was a typo, but I liked it)

Here's the informative paragraph in the email notification:

First, we are pleased to inform you that EMusic.com Inc. is being acquired by Dimensional Associates LLC ("Dimensional"), a private equity group focused on providing innovative online music distribution services.
