I am the co-editor of the next Virtual Occoquan, due out just about any minute now (check out Fried Green al-Qaedas for status). Had there been time to get permission from the authors, I would have liked to included articles from the following blogs

Duh!

Michael Parker’s Journal

What Happens When You Tell A Lie

Peeling Wallpaper

Gripes From The Grumpy Girl

The Monster Limo Weblog

C. C Dobbs

There are many other great blogs here at blogs.salon.com and it is becoming increasingly difficult to break into the Hot 100 and be noticed. Check out the updates page and see who is actively updating. Also check out Dave Pollard’s page about blogs & blogging. While you’re at it, go visit Rayne – who also co-edits at Virtual Occoquan. Dave, Rayne, and I work hard, but Mark puts it all together. It’s quite a task, so every once in a while you should click on the link at the bottom of the VO table of contents page and buy him a virtual beer. He works up a powerful virtual thirst!

Visit Chris Mooney!

I sent him an email once, complimenting him on a well-written article. He answered within hours, thanking me, and asking if I’d like to be on his email alert list. Later, he started a website and blog. Here’s an excerpt from his bio:

Chris has contributed to a variety of other publications in recent years, including Slate, Salon, Mother Jones, Legal Affairs, Reason, The American Scholar, The Washington Monthly, The Utne Reader, The Washington Post, The Washington City Paper, and The Boston Globe.

Besides contributing to magazines and newspapers, every month Chris writes an online column for Skeptical Inquirer magazine, where he serves as a contributing editor, and one to two news articles for SAGE Crossroads, a science-of-aging website sponsored by Science magazine and the Alliance for Aging Research. Chris is also an American Prospect contributing writer.
