Why Sierra Leone Needs Aki and Pawpaw…

Here is a page from African Jokes, Sierra Leone jokes. There’s a link there called “Pick and choose,” which would lead you to believe that it would bring up a page with many Sierra Leone jokes. However, there is only one joke for the whole country. Here it is:

What's the difference between "pick" and "choose?"

"Pick" is a selection, but "choose" are just Sierra Leone sneakers.

I wonder how many time the dwarves told that one before the crowd rioted?

Another Conversation

“Hey, did you see the news – they’re moving over 4000 programming jobs to India. India and China.”

“I guess it’ll work for programmers, but support is safe – Farmer Computers tried moving support to India and had to renege because of all the complaints.”

“That was just their corporate support, end-users still get patched to India…Hey, they finally caught Saddam!”

“Yeah, at least there’s that.”

Some loose ends:

Online spices from Spice Barn – better prices than Penzeys!

Great review, by Jason Epstein, of Daniel Boulud’s Letters to a young Chef.

I got curious about what a Cornish Game Hen looks like. It looks like a Cornish Game Hen, I guess, but nearly all the pictures Google has shows them roasted. A photograph is nearly impossible to find (and verify), but this page has some good information so I guess the drawing is accurate.

In case you curiosity was piqued by whatever it is that makes Nigerian midget humor so superior to that of the Sierra Leone Dwarf humor that there was a riot when some promoters tried a bait and switch for Aki and Pawpaw, here is some Nigerian humor for people of all sizes. Now try to imagine some Sierra Leone humor!

Say, why did the Nigerian Game Hen cross the road?

Be sure to visit Thrilling Days of Yesteryear for great links and great commentary devoted to old time radio; maybe the answer is there.

Finally, check out fenomas’ Universal Guide to Getting Laid in Japan.
