Rich Pure&Simple is updating his computers this weekend and so am I. I hate this sort of work at home, but love it at the office. Computer #2 is getting a new ASUS A7V600 motherboard for Mother’s Day, with an Athlon XP 2600 processor. While attempting to back up the hard drive last night, I discovered that an IDE channel had quit on me. Like Rich, I’ll spare you the gory details of this project. The old MSI board that was in there was a bargain basement special that served me well for 3 years. The new board and processor will be more than twice as fast. The PC2100 memory from it has already migrated to Computer #1, getting it up to a Gigabyte.

A new trend in porn Spam – unusual, even imaginative names for the senders. Today I received two solicitations to visit disgusting websites, one from “Hump B. Contravenes” and another from “Substantiations T. Conduced.” Their names are the only items in the messages that can be repeated in polite company.

Some people plant a garden and the seeds simply sprout and grow. My garden begins life as a sketch and, gradually, the colors begin to fill between the lines. I need to buy a book about horticulture so I can train my plants, to make them understand the proper way to grow.
