A picture named The Birds Of Carrboro.jpg

The Birds Is Back!

Sad story. A few weeks ago I was filling the feeders when I noticed some movement behind me. I turned quickly but I was too late to catch the tripod holding the wireless internet camera. It crashed into the porch. I had tripped over the power cord! I plugged it back in and went inside. At first, all seemed okay, but then the picture went away. It has been sporadic ever since. I can tap it and get it working for maybe an hour or so, but then the transmission ends – maybe when a bird lands on the camera itself, as they’re apt to do.

I discovered that the cameras were now selling for half the price I originally paid and I really like watching the birds when I’m at work or on the road, so when my variable pay came in last week I splurged. The Birds Of Carrboro is now back in living color! The time isn’t set yet (it gets time from an internet time server) but I’ll get that fixed soon enough. With Daylight Savings Time in effect, you’ll have an extra hour each evening to keep up on the social lives of Larry The Cardinal and Harriet The House Finch. Enjoy!
