A picture named Frist Reconsiders.jpg

Frist Changes Mind

“No, I didn’t!” Frist reportedly said after a meeting with the President, “and I didn’t meet with the President.” Asked to explain, Frist explained, “Yes I did!” Reporters then asked him about his denial of having ever said that Terri Schiavo “seems to respond to visual stimuli” on the Senate floor, even though it was written into the transcripts. “No, it wasn’t!” “It wasn’t written into Senate transcripts?” asked one bold reporter. “Yes, it was,” Frist responded, “but I never said it!” “You didn’t?” the reporter pressed as he was whisked off. “Yes I did,” Frist insisted.

“So,” ventured another reporter, “are you running for President in 2008?” “No!” screamed Frist. “Then you’re absolutely out the 2008 race?” “No,” screeched Frist, grabbing the reporter by the throat. “Then you are running?” the reporter gurgled. “No!” came the answer.

“Uh, if you do push for a vote on Bolton again and then decide to run for President, how would you feel about running against John Kerry?”

“Wonderful!” said Frist, beaming, “he waffles. He waffles and he flip-flops, he flip flops like a little girlie-man fish out of water.”

“He does?”

“No he doesn’t! End of interview.”

"Yo! Bill! Got some time for a spontaneous roadside heart transplant? YO! BILL! Bill! Bill?..."
