New Address for Emphasis Added

In case anyone missed it the first time, new posts to EA will now be available at www.emphasisadded.com. The site will apparently still be present here on the Salon RCS, but the old URL won't reflect updated content after the switchover.

HTM-HELL

Apologies to readers that the migration to the new emphasisadded.com is not going swimmingly. There are still a bunch of dead links and strange goings-on because of Radio's (the blogging software) stubborn unwillingness to upload and render all the pages of the blog to the new site. FIONA had it right with this cartoon (scroll down to bottom of page).

Stupid Money

Wide  exposure for the American comic book industry, such as provided by this weekend's big opening of the Daredevil movie, typically illicits two stock responses from the "civilian" media: "Zap! Bang! Pow! Comics Get Serious! Some of Today's Comics Are Actually Aimed at Adult Readers!" (this one hasn't made it to Texas yet), and "Zap! Bang! Pow! There's Gold in Them There Funnybooks! - Those Forgotten Childhood Memories Could Bring Thousands at Auction!" A good example of the latter appears today in Finance and Commerce (link courtesy of ComicCon.com). Advice to potential comic book investors - buy what you like. And if your expertise is such that you can't offer an educated guess as to who inked Fantastic Four #1, best put your money in something secure and stable, like stock options.
