Mozilla Firebird Primer for Windows Users. Chances are pretty good that if you're reading this right now, you're using an internet browser. But are you using the best one? According to Google, one of the internet's most visited sites, Microsoft Internet Explorer is far and away the most popular browser, and its lead only continues to grow. But does that necessarily mean that it's the best browser? Microsoft thinks so. In fact, they're so confident that they decided to discontinue any new versions of Internet Explorer until their new operating system (Longhorn) is released. Don't worry, though. Longhorn is scheduled to ship sometime in late 2005. And assuming you have the patience to wait that long, you'll have to pay for Microsoft's brand new operating system in order to enjoy any new features of MSIE 7.0. Unlike before, MSIE will no longer be offered as a free standalone download. If you're like most people, the browser is one of your most frequently used applications. So do you really want to wait almost two years to see any innovation and new features? If not, then I strongly suggest checking out Mozilla Firebird. [kuro5hin.org] 8:11:33 AM |
