Cinelerra-Professional Linux Video Editing

"Cinelerra takes a boring web server operating system and turns it into a 50,000
watt flamethrower of multimedia editing power." had to lead with that statement from their website.

An associate from my office, mentioned he is testing this software out. So I did some nosing around, and here is what I found:

O"Reilly has a great review of this software, has some mystery to it too, cause its developer wants to remain unknown.

With a pseudomym like HeroineWarrior.com you gotta love this! Kinda makes you think of a Xeon Linux Warrior!!!!

from their website:

"Heroine Virtual is not run by heroines but by heroine worshippers: regular,

financially challenged guys like you,

all with a love of big software and heroines but no cash."

so if any of you Xena Linux lovers want to try it out, here is their download page.

Unofficial CVS download page.

Index of builds

It even has its first commercial support vendor Linux Media Arts.

Editorial Boards Part the Curtain.

  • Mark Glaser (Online Journalism Review): Papers' Online Units Allow Editorial Boards to Lift Veil With Video, Blogs. Newspaper editorial boards have historically operated in secrecy. But a few brave boards have used group blogs and streaming video from meetings with candidates to bring much needed transparency.
