http://www.nysfirm.org New York State Forum on Information Resource Management NYSFIRM is a membership organization that provides directions for managing information in New York State Government. The Forum compiles and organizes useful Web sites that focus on information resource management topics of interest to government managers.
http://www.ssrn.com/cyberlaw/ Cyberlaw for Non-Lawyers Cyberlaw for Non-Lawyers is an on-line seminar prepared by law professors from the University of Chicago Law School, Georgetown University Law Center, UCLA School of Law, the Cyberspace Law Institute and Social Science Electronic Publishing. It presents many topics in clear language designed for the educated lay person, and offers links to a wide variety of papers and abstracts on such topics as copyright, trademarks, free speech, and electronic signatures.

http://www.census.gov U.S. Census Bureau This site has an amazing amount of statistical information about people, products, industry, and environmental factors in the U.S. Much of the data is accessible through clickable maps, and there are interactive tools to help users manipulate the statistics for use in charts, reports, GIS applications, etc. It is one of the deepest and richest sites we have encountered.
http://www.financenet.gov/ The International GovNews (GOV.*) Project Supported by U.S. Vice President Al Gore and developed through public/private sector cooperation within the virtual community, the international GovNews Project could revolutionize democracy around the world and stimulate small business growth by (1) providing cheap and free and equal access to public government information, and (2) creating new feedback channels for free and open dialog between world governments and their public constituencies.

CGOL is a joint project of the federal, provincial, territorial, and several municipal governments across Canada. A catalog of services offered on-line to the public is maintained on this site by and on behalf of all these governments. Users can suggest a new service to be added to this catalog and query it to verity what other governments have done in order to explore opportunities for partnerships and avoid potential duplicate efforts.
http://www.itsc.state.md.us/ U.S. Labor Dept/Maryland Information Technology Support Center The UI Information Technology Support Center (ITSC) is a joint project between the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), Employment and Training Administration, Unemployment Insurance Service and the Maryland Department of Economic and Employment Development to establish a center to support the needs of the 53 State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) in applying automation and technology solutions to meet the needs of the UI Program. This is a good source for employment and labor information and for links to other government sites.
http://www.cio.com CIO Communications Inc. This digital resource contains articles, features, tools, links, and on-line seminars to help with the building and managing of a Web site. The people at the CIO magazine have collected a useful set of tools for Web developers and Webmasters.
