Los Angeles keeping me warm

It’s really cold in Boston. Since I also have to be in the office around 7:15 in the morning, the walk from the train is particularly, shall we say, brisk. The lack of sleep is leaving me a bit gaga. So it was particularly pleasant when a draft of particularly hot hair left me nicely mellow yesterday. It was not a heating system (although thank god for those). Curiously enough it was the uniform that the workers of Trader Joe’s wear – those colorful short sleeve shirts that supposed to give the place a true Angelino flair. Those uniforms, as well as the entire ambiance of the store – old cheap wooden counters, the lack of (evident) electronic glitter etc. – give the place an amazingly foreign (almost exotic) feel. So it was a shirt worn by someone stacking shelves that gave me a break from the New England winter. It’s the little things.
