The Rittenhouse Review talks about the party of fiscal responsibility

Actually he writes about Republican deficits and Republican lies. Very important reading!

It amazes me that the Republicans have taken single issue groups, such as anti-abortion and the NRA, and has gotten them to vote for and support the Republican party no matter what they do, if they only keep supporting their single issues. When I look at most of the NRA members and anti-abortionists, I see people who are being hurt by the Republican policies, but they are blind to it. They are so focused on their single issues, they are ignoring to the big picture. But they don't care as long as their single issues are protected.

These single issue groups need to really look at what the Republican party is doing. How their fiscal policies will sell out the middle class, upper and lower, to benefit big business and the most wealthy Americans. Is the thought of having no regulations on the sale of assault rifles, or having no ballistic fingerprint registration, worth destroying the country for you kids? The NRA may or may not get their unneeded protection, but you can bet your ass that the Republican's will get their tax cuts for business and the most wealthy. The middle class will get no cuts. Take a look at the numbers.

I wish the Democrats had the balls to stand up and confront the single issue groups on this. They need to ask if this is the best way to go. What good is getting rid of abortions if nobody can afford to feed their children? What good is owning a bunch of nice guns of you can't afford your house payment?

I wish the country was such a good place where no women felt the need to get an abortion. I wish that people were confident enough in their country that they did not feel such an overwhelming need to stockpile guns. That they knew their right to own hunting and personal protection guns was secure. None of this will happen under the Republicans, however. As the economic gulf increases, all Americans will feel less secure and safe.
