Prison

Just blowing off some steam: More photos of the abuse of Iraqi detainees by American military personnel are emerging, such as these from The Washington Post, which are reminiscent of what the Nazis did to Jews during the Holocaust. Members of the Bush regime, including Pentagon officials, knew what was going on in our name in Iraqi detention centers long before camera images of the illegal and immoral treatment of Iraqi detainees by American military personnel became public.

A modest proposal for Rush

On his show on the kick-ass Air America Radio yesterday, Al Franken played this clip from Rush Limbaugh's radio talk show (this is Limbaugh talking about the abuse of Iraqi detainees by American military personnel in Iraq):

This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we’re going to ruin people’s lives over it, and we’re going to hamper our military effort, and then we’re going to really hammer 'em because they had a good time.

You know, these people are being fired at every day -- I’m talking about the people having a good time.

You ever hear of emotional release?

You ever hear of need to blow some steam off?

These people [the Iraqis, I'm assuming Rush means] are the enemy!

Rush is right! Clearly, our troops need to blow off some steam.

So I think that Rush should do his patriotic duty and go to Iraq, where he will offer his big fat head as a pinata to our troops. Then, they will beat his head with sticks until pieces of his brain come flying out like pieces of candy.

The troops will have blown off some steam and Rush will have done his patriotic duty.

And Rush will be able to continue to do his radio talk show, for which he doesn't need his brains.
