Same-sex lip-locking gallery

(Just to piss off homophobes)

Chris McCary (L) and John Sullivan, both from Anniston, Alabama, kiss after being pronounced 'spouse and spouse for eternity' at their wedding in Provincetown, Massachusetts May 17, 2004. They were first in line at the Town Hall to apply for a wedding license. In November 2003 the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that Massachusetts must allow same-sex couples to marry beginning May 17, 2004. REUTERS/Brian Snyder

David Rudeurick, 34, center, and Michael Hight, 39, both of Somerville, Mass., kiss inside City Hall in Cambridge, Mass., on Sunday, May 16, 2004. The couple, who have been together for four years, were among the same sex couples who gathered to wait for marriage licences to be issued at midnight, and marry later the same day, the first day on which Same Sex marriage became legal in Massachusetts on May 17, 2004. Cheryl Andrews, left, and her partner Jennifer Jermack, both from Provinctown, Ma., kiss as they leave Provincetown Town Hall Monday, May 17, 2004, after filing their intentions to marry. Some of the couples will seek a waiver of the usual three-day waiting period, and exchange vows that same day, in the first state-sanctioned gay weddings in America.(AP Photo/Bizuayehu Tesfaye)

All of these couples were just legally married in Massachusetts.

The horse is out of the barn. Legal same-sex marriage soon will be common in the United States, and future generations won't believe it when they're told that it ever was any different, just as young people today can't believe it when they're told that it once was illegal for people of different races to marry.

Not that everyone is celebrating this civil-rights milestone:

Massachusetts is the first state in the United States to legally sanction same-sex marriage based on a ruling by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court requiring the state to issue marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. I'll bet the people in the Red States haven't been this pissed off since the Emancipation Proclamation.

Tell Zell to go to hell!

As I wrote, "Democratic" Georgia Sen. Zell Miller has the constitutional right to be a dumbfuck -- but if he wants to be a dumbfuck, there is a party for him: The Republican Party.

Tell Zell to go to hell (or to the Republican Party, which is worse than hell). Tell him good fucking riddance.

Sign the online petitition to urge the Democratic Party to kick his sorry ass out:
