U.S. President George W. Bush speaks at the dedication ceremony for the World War Two Memorial in Washington May 29, 2004. The memorial honors the 16 million people who served in the U.S. armed forces during WWII, the more than 400,000 who died and the millions who supported the war effort at home. REUTERS/Gary Hershorn

"President" Bush speaks to World War II veterans -- real heroes -- at yesterday's dedication of the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C., which is pretty sick, given the fact that he went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard. Equally if not more sick is the fact that "President" Monkeyboy is keeping Saddam Hussein's handgun in the White House as a trophy from his bogus war in Iraq in which hundreds of Americans and thousands of Iraqis and others have died unnecessarily. 'President' Dumbfuck's sick trophy

This is fucking sick:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- A handgun that Saddam Hussein was clutching when U.S. forces captured him in a hole in Iraq last December is now kept by President Bush at the White House, a spokesman confirmed [today].

Time magazine, which first disclosed the gun's location, said military officials had it mounted after it was seized from Saddam near his hometown of Tikrit last year, and soldiers involved in the capture gave it to Bush.

The magazine quoted a visitor who had been shown the gun, which is kept in a small study off the Oval Office where Bush displays memorabilia. It is the same room where former President Bill Clinton had some of his encounters with former intern Monica Lewinsky.

Bush shows Saddam's gun to select visitors, telling them it is unloaded, both now and when Saddam was captured, Time reported.

"He really liked showing it off," Time quoted a visitor as saying. "He was really proud of it."

White House spokesman Jim Morrell said, "The president was proud of the performance and bravery of our armed forces and was honored to receive it on behalf of the troops involved in the operation."

This is a man -- I use that term very loosely -- who evaded serving in Vietnam because he comes from a rich white family (and he even went AWOL from that).

Then, he stole a presidential election with the help of his brother, who just happens to be the governor of the "deciding" state, Florida; with the help of then-Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, who just happened to also be chairwoman of the Bush presidential campaign in Florida; and with the help of the five of nine members of the U.S. Supreme Court who just happened to have been appointed by Republican presidents.

Then, "President" Dumbfuck started a bogus war in which hundreds of Americans and thousands of Iraqis and others have died. And God knows how many people will die in the future as a result of his bogus war, which has greatly increased, rather than decreased, the chance of terrorist strikes in the future. (Like retaliation is difficult to foresee. Fucking duh.)

Now, we learn, "President" Dumbfuck keeps Saddam Hussein's gun like a trophy, as though he had any courage whatsoever himself.

That he should keep a relic for which people with real courage died to obtain -- and for which innocent Iraqis died in the process -- is an incredibly insensitive disservice to everyone who has died because of his lies and the lies of the members of his warmongering regime.

Keeping such a sick and twisted relic for which thousands of others died is something that Adolf Hitler would do. Yes, right-wingers, this is why we lefties frequently compare George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler: Because the comparison is apt. Although I'm sure that Adolf Hitler was a much better public speaker.

Losing the presidential election on Nov. 2 is much, much less than George W. Bush deserves.

P.S. I think that it was unnecessary and sensationalistic of the Reuters writer to note that "President" Dumbfuck keeps his sick relic in "the same room where former President Bill Clinton had some of his encounters with former intern Monica Lewinsky."

However, it's an opportunity to refresh my readers' memory that Clinton's big "crime" was to have extramarital sex and then to lie about it, as most people would do if an embarrassing aspect of their personal, private lives were made public by petty, stupid, jealous, evil people who are out to destroy them. Clinton lied about a matter that was no one's fucking business anyway.

George W. Bush's crime, however -- his war crime -- was to lie to the United States and to the world about the reasons for taking the United States to war in Iraq, an illegal, immoral, imperialistic, unprovoked, bogus war in which thousands of people have died pointlessly and for which billions and billions of dollars of U.S. taxpayers' dollars have been diverted to war-profiteering BushCheneyCorp subsidiaries, such as Dick Cheney's Halliburton.

Clinton was impeached for his lie, which never hurt anyone.

Bush, on the other hand, will never be held accountable for his lies -- which have resulted in thousands of unnecessary deaths and a record U.S. federal budget deficit that will takes years to pay down -- except at the ballot box on Nov. 2. Unless, of course, he and his Republican henchpeople find a way to steal this election too.

And people wonder why I'm so fucking "angry."

I am fucking angry because I am alive.

P.P.S. Lest you think that left-wingers are the only ones to evoke the name of Adolf Hitler, I just read this paragraph in a Reuters story on yesterday's World War II memorial dedication:

While Bush did not mention [the] Iraq [war] at the memorial, he did in his radio address earlier when he evoked the Allied campaign against Adolf Hitler to urge Americans to persevere in Iraq.

Bush dares to compare Gulf War II to World War II?

World War II was the last just and justified war that the United States fought. Germany, Italy and Japan's attempt to conquer the world had to be stopped (although the United States' dropping two nukes on Japan was, to understate it, overkill).

All subsequent wars that the United States has fought, including (and probably especially) the wars against communism, have been about protecting and expanding the interests of stupid rich white men who want us Americans to think that their interests are our interests (and who use the vast propaganda machine at their disposal to make us Americans think that their interests are our interests).

"President" Dumbfuck's comparison of Gulf War II to World War II is as valid as a comparison of his military service record to John Kerry's.
