The Bush regime today encouraged the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the Ten Commandments to be displayed on government property, The Associated Press reports.

Hey, I'm all for that, with some slight modifications:

I
Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

II
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

III
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

IV
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

V
Honor thy father and thy mother.

VI
Thou shalt not kill (thousands and thousands of innocent people, such as the Iraqis).

VII
Thou shalt not commit adultery.

VIII
Thou shalt not steal (presidential elections, Iraq's oil, billions of American taxpayers' dollars for Halliburton and other war-profiteering subsidiaries of BushCheneyCorp, etc.).

IX
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. (Exa
mples of which include claiming that your neighbor has weapons of mass destruction when you know that he does not and that "We don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.")

X
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's (including his oil, his land and other natural resources that belong to him).

Yeah, hands off my ass and my manservant...
