This is a copy-and-paste of an online poll at standupdemocrats.org. I think it's safe to say that if Howard Dean is not made the chairman of the Democratic National Committee next month, all hell will break loose within the party -- and/or the party will disintegrate. (I know that I don't plan to support the party anymore if it does not change its leadership.)
The current Democratic Party "leadership" -- which is centrist (translation: too pussy to take on the Repugnicans), overly focused on fundraising and woefully deficient in grassroots organizing -- blew 2000, 2002 and 2004. Strike one, strike two, strike three -- they're out.
Most of the candidates for DNC chair, including Howard Dean, are scheduled to appear here in Sacramento in a forum on Saturday and I'm attending. (I'll give you a full report.) It will be interesting to see Dean in person. I'll try to resist the temptation to ask him to give us a little scream.
