Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are strength and conditioning.

We use rubber bands.

Sorta.  They are called "Resistance Tubes" and so on and I thought they were just a little hokey.

Until they kicked my butt.  They come in assorted colors: yellow (for wimps); green for buff females; red for muscle bound men and unusually masculine women; and blue for I don't know who.  No one has actually touched the blue bands.  They hang all lonely on the band rack and just look pretty.

But the wimpy yellow ones will be the death of me.  I started out on green and after I couldn't even pull the handles up over my head (you anchor it in the middle and pull up on the band handles for a variety of muscular workouts) I had to creep back to the band rack and pick up the pansy yellow ones.

I noticed this morning that just about everyone in the class was using yellow bands and I felt much better about it.  Even the buff chick with the split calves who was leading the class was complaining about the yellow bands being difficult.

I'm starting to actually like the color yellow.
