I just realized that I'm sounding quite negative.  I think it's because I'm sick and tired of working out every day of the week.  I haven't been very faithful on the daily work out thing, and I haven't followed the diet (or even really watched what I've been eating) for the past 5 weeks or so.  So much for sweating it out.  The positive thing about all of this is that I've realized the importance of daily exercise and I realize that an aging body needs much more attention to keep it fit.  Yeah, and I finished the course, even if I didn't have perfect attendance.

Today was the last day of my lower body strength training.  I'm so glad, too.  Strength training takes so much more out of me than the Kardio Kickbox.  It's sorta as if the strength training breaks you down and the cardio workout builds you up.

Anyway, I'm glad it's over.

I think for the next couple of weeks I'm going to just walk around our neighborhood in the mornings after the kids get the bus.  Walking is terrific, and around our neighborhood, it is quite a challenge because the hills are STEEP.  The kind of steep where you have to downshift in the car so that you're capable of stopping at the bottom.

Thursday we are doing our final evaluation, where I will find out how much body fat and weight I have lost, and how much better my endurance and my flexiblility have gotten.  There is also the infamous end of the course picture, which we will then get to compare with our beginning picture and I"m not too psyched about that.  My friends and I have considered getting a "Spray-on Tan" for the event, but I don't know if I can really stomach that.

Then, on Saturday, we have our last challenge, the three mile run.  The only thing for certain about Saturday is that I do NOT run.  So I will be completing the three mile walk and too bad if everyone else has to stand and watch me finish walking while they are panting and sweating from running around in circles like fools.
