Read this link on consciousness after death...you know what's coming next, more blogging! 12:05:36 PMTrick or Treat? To be determined… The littlest spook in this house is ill today, partly in response to booster shots this week and partly from the mounting build-up of excitement leading to this day. It’s really as bad as Christmas around here; my older little spook doesn’t have normal homework assignments this week because festivities are interfering with the work. I’m already feeling guilty enough about the effectiveness of child rearing these days – now I have to deal with counteracting institutionalized frivolity? <sigh> Sure hope littlest spook shakes it off after some sleep and Tylenol today, anyhow. In the mean time, he’ll probably need something to do for entertainment while cooped up for the day. I found a few things that will be fun, maybe even fun for grownups stuck behind the desk at work, needing a little mental health break. Ben & Jerry’s – doesn’t the name alone spell fun to you? A number of fun games to play here (we're going to try “Whack-a-Ghoul” as soon as my blogging is finished!). Kids Domain – has a bunch of stuff for kids, like downloads and spooky sounds; even ghost stories for kids and adults alike. (Links to Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and Mark Twain’s “A Ghost Story” are particularly appealing.) BlackDog – some quirky fun stuff at this site, includes screensavers. The vintage Halloween greeting cards are quite cute. Halloween Fun-4-Kids – okay, haven’t tried the stuff at this site, but it’s pretty dense with links. We could be a while poking around here! Back to nursing the littlest spook to health – I hear the padding of ghostly feet coming down the hall from the bedroom. Blogging will be slow today, wrapped up in recovery and holiday activities. Selfishly, I hope I can squeeze in a little reading time between knocks at the door…I’m really behind and would like to play catch up while the kids are tricking-treating. Hope you get a little fun time tonite, too. Have a great All Hallow’s Evening!
