You Googled Me?: "church detroit men pantyhose"

Oh puh-lease, would you get a frickin' grip?  there is no church in Detroit where men are wearing pantyhose.  And there aren't going to be any sites where all four words appear together in any coherent fashion in the same sentence (except this one).

If any one can dispute this, please fill me in - and this poor Googler, too, by posting in comments.

With all the political turmoil going on, this is the best you can do?  Or are you just messing with this new "You Googled Me?" category administrator?

Sheesh.  Get a life, will ya'?

Down and out in Democrat-ville…

I’m heartsick and depressed.  I’m not at all happy that so many Republicans won last evening.  Sure, some of them are centrists, but how many will cave to party pressure when the going gets tough?

Women’s rights have been eroding in this country for the last two years; in case you’ve forgotten, there is no Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution.  What will happen over the next two years?  And so help me, what if another 2 to 4 years of Republican leadership follows?

What of the threat of war, will the Republicans roll over and play dead if Dubya or Rummy gets trigger happy?  What about the economy, will we continue to see more of the same lousy, ineffective “voodoo economics” we’ve see for two years?  Didn’t Dubya get the memo that trickle-down economics doesn’t work, that tax breaks for the top 1% of this country don’t equate into economic improvements for the other 99%?  Will Republicans do anything about THAT inequity, or will they sit back on their laurels and wait for the trickle to begin?

I’m going to have to roll up my sleeves and get to work.  Part of the problem with the Democratic AND Green Parties is the dilution of message – they haven’t crystallized, are spread too thin, don’t know how to do self-promotion very well.  And part of the challenge is that new blood needs to be instilled in the party; the folks at the helm of the party are reaching or passing their apex (like Walter Mondale or Ralph Nader).  We need to find younger, more dynamic individuals who will electrify and motivate the fragments of these parties until they can stand up and take head on the Republican beast.

Give me another 8 hours of listening to this self-congratulatory crap from the Bush camp (which will not serve to build consensus!) and I’ll get in touch with my righteous anger.  Then, watch out!

You Googled Me?:  “blood rayne”

I’m averaging (2) Google referrals a day looking for information about ‘blood rayne’, ‘bloodrayne’,  ‘blood’ + ‘rayne’ or some variation.

Dang, I’m sure someone somewhere would tell you this was my nickname…<laughing>

Turns out it's a game -- go to this link in my 'You Googled Me?' category if you're looking for more information.  Ciao!

After poking around, this looks like ‘video’ game by maker Majesco, real name ‘BloodRayne’, fairly recent release.  Nope, I don’t have an XBox, not even PS2.  But this particular game sounds like fun to play.

Here’s the best review I could find on the game:

GameZone.com - Bloodrayne Review - GameCube Game

The review assigns points on a scale of 1(bad) to 10(excellent) on gameplay, graphics, sound, difficulty and concept, along with an average overall points.  (There's a lot of other links to info on 'BloodRayne' out there, but many of them are gamers moaning about whether the art on the box is cool or what...if you're shopping for this, so what about the box art.)

This game gets an 8.8 overall score – heck, I think I might even break down and buy it for the sitter’s teenage son to see if he’d try it out for me.   On the other hand, this isn’t a game for kids under 17 – it’s rated ‘Mature’.  I’d better check with him mom since he’s just 16.

We’ve been debating about a PlayStation 2 or an XBox for the kids for Christmas (ssshhh, don’t tell, “Santa” is bringing it).  Maybe “Santa” will have to bring this for the adults in the house…

It’s available at Amazon, just search under Video Games by ‘bloodrayne’:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-9921450-8294319

Runs about $49.99 right now for all platforms (PS2, XBox, Game Cube).  It’s available in pre-owned/used as well.

Have fun!
