| Rayne Today Searching for dharma, in spite of the weather... WARNING: SLOW BLOGGING AHEAD…Again… The weather here is butt-ugly cold. I’ve been in and out several times today, it’s breathtakingly like mid- to late January. Too damned early, I can’t imagine what the rest of the winter will be like. If you’re someplace south of A pervasive, numbing, makes-your-bones-crisp cold. The kind of cold where the hairs in your nose freeze on your first breath outside, the back of your throat burns and your lungs want to arrest, seize up so as not to let you breathe in any more of this noxious cold. Somewhere in my memory is a Jack Wild description of just how cold cold can get. It really starts here. It was zero this morning, below zero in some nearby areas. It’s only risen to 10 degrees. I’d say, “b-b-b-brrrrr”, but my lips are dry, chapped and numb. When I thaw out later today, after I brave the cold again to bring in some firewood and start a blaze, I’ll try to p-p-p-post again. In the mean time, you might want to visit/re-visit my BookReport on William Calvin’s A Brain for All Seasons. Imagine another Little Ice Age, with It’s no stretch here to imagine the cold.
