| Rayne Today Searching for dharma, in spite of the weather... The toll begins at home Tonight was the last Parent-Teacher conference for the year. Highly predictable topics covered; nothing unexpected. That is, right up until the teacher and aide mentioned they discussed One of many victims already taken hostage by this current situation. So many more, here and abroad; will the damage be repaired? Can it be repaired? Bloggleneck Nothing wants to come out today. The Muse is stymied; I can feel her sitting here next to me, watching the unfolding of another chapter on CNBC and CNN. Bleary-eyed from lack of sleep, disbelieving, she’s got nothing to give me to post in my blog. I’m glad for Kriselda at differentstrings – she’s blogging away, furiously posting the stuff my Muse should be feeding me. It’s like that here in the Salon blogosphere; somebody posts when the other blog wells go dry. Kriselda has our back at the moment. Looks like I should just get away from the monitors and go about my life, leave the blogging to Kriselda and her more productive Muse. Run to the bank, buy some milk, mail some cookies to a service man that may not be there to receive them on arrival tomorrow. Whom did we piss off today? I should consider opening a new blog category: Pissed Today (not to be confused with RantsCounterRants). Today it’s Cuba. They’re pissed off at the U.S. Sure, we’ve not exactly been the best of neighbors for the last three decades, but things had been thawing and improving. Now, the freeze is back on. Who will it be tomorrow? Is there anybody left to piss off? Did we miss somebody?
Maybe that's it, the real plan of action: promote diversity through equal-opportunity pissing off.
