UPDATING FAILURE -- AGAIN

This afternoon's brief post never made it to the Recently Updated list; I sat here watching the to the Radio Userland server, then left the PC on after completion and left the house.

What's up with this?  What's the point in updating a blog if it's not going to happen?  It's not as if I don't have a full plate already.

Any other Salon bloggers having the problem?  Is this BugBear related or what?  Twice inside a couple days is a bit much, isn't it?

New kid on the block

I’m outta’ here for a bit, going to rescue my sitter’s sixteen-year-old son.  He’s hung up trying to restore a formatted hard drive on a crusty old PC (don't even know if it's Pentium!) that formerly ran Win95.  Unfortunately, he didn’t make or get a boot disk before formatting the drive.

Worse, these new kids know virtually nothing about DOS commands or CMOS.  This kid is looking to go into CMIS in another year, too. Sheesh.

I don't know which is giving me the heebie-jeebies -- that this kid is very wet behind the ears, or that I never thought I’d have to dust off my DOS.  Or Win95, for that matter.  Eewww…

Stop, for just a moment, dear Google seeker: perhaps it would do well to ponder on this point, that it’s not appropriate for royalty to appear in the buff, ever?  Most royal families regardless of origin would find this kind of behavior to be completely unacceptable.  Depending on your intent, you may be far better off to find a nice, blonde commoner nude or naked ELSEWHERE.
