RantsCounterRants:  What she said re: Savage fired – Ditto!

Paul Hinrichs thought I’d be too relaxed after my recent vacation to rant for at least a week.  Well, maybe I am still too relaxed…this isn’t really a rant as much as closure for a previous rant.

Some of you may remember how peeved off I was at MSNBC and Michael Savage over his idiotically nasty comments about Ashleigh Banfield.  Apparently those comments weren’t outrageous enough to keep him from joining and staying in MSNBC’s line up.  (MSNBC’s error was in permitting certain kinds of free speech to sell air time, but not all free speech, particularly if counter to political leadership.)

It didn’t take long, though, for Savage’s nasty disposition and truly dreadful manners to push him over the edge.  Just a scant few months later and bingo, Savage is fired by MSNBC for anti-gay comments.

Sunset over Lake Superior

One of those many annoying, same-old sunsets photographed during my vacation.

(By the way: Bill Ford Jr., if you're reading this, the sun is setting directly above your place -- you should visit more often!  I hear the sunrises are spectacular from your place.  Yeah, I know, it's just one of those dusty old antiques you inherited, but really, you should take the time and chill out there, catch the view.  I hear you could use a break.)
