Mea Culpa

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

My bad.  I discovered last evening that I’d done a boo-boo.

After reading submitted materials and all the Salon blogs last Friday night to screen for thematically matched content, I’d managed to omit a lovely piece, Rhapsody, by Dave Pollard.  Missed it entirely, and he’s one of our Virtual Occoquan co-editors!  What kind of doof would do THAT?

So, mea culpa again.  Go, check it out.  Get another whiff of the End of Summer a la Canadian at Dave’s blog and at Virtual Occoquan’s End of Summer edition.  It’s tasty – bittersweet, but tasty.

[A Note to Dave: seriously, I’m very sorry!  I think I was worried I’d miss an on-theme piece from the folks who aren’t co-editors.  I almost missed Dick Jones (who had one of the best on-topic pieces).  Paul wouldn’t have made it except that he sent in a photo submission on Saturday.  Guess I have to do my homework farther ahead if I edit another edition!]

You Googled Me?:  The POWERS THAT BE, perhaps?

One thing that really chaps my chops are managers that ominously lean on their underlings in support positions about stuff that doesn’t make the business any more profitable or help the business meet its objectives.

Grrr…that’s too damned close to demanding “groupthink” from employees, or insisting on total obsequious and blind obedience.  Fascism.

The POWERS THAT BE felt it necessary to have a little heart-to-heart with our Julie of The Julie/Julia Project.  Yeah, that burnt my buns.  I decided to remind them from her comments (as I have before) that this is out of line.  Of course I refrained from using the F-word there.

(I meant Fascism.  I would have said [cookie] if I’d meant THAT F-word.)

Amazing, not 15 minutes after I posted the comment at Julie’s site, somebody came prowling back to my blog.

You don’t think it’s THEM, do you?

Dang it all, do you think THEY were paying attention, seriously?
