| Rayne Today Searching for dharma, in spite of the weather... Solar storms => Northern lights
You’ll note the solar storm bulletins issued today warning of the potential impact solar particles may have on electronics here on earth. I think a call, which dropped more suddenly than expected, may have been “affected” by the same culprits. No harm done, though, as it happened at the very end of the call. Nuts, the weather is hazy here; were the skies clear, we might have quite a good chance for northern lights this evening. It’s the least the cosmos could do for the weird burp in my phone call, give me some northern lights to which I can look forward this evening! How about you? Are you going to be able to see them? Check out the maps at NOAA’s Space Weather sight and make plans to see them! === National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration Space Environment Center Sky and Telescope article on 24-OCT-03 Aurora
Wow, a lunch date with my spouse! What did I do to deserve this special attention? This means I have to abandon the blog post I’ve half-heartedly (half-*ssedly?) been picking at this morning, doff something besides sweats and fluffy bunny slippers, and make like a human being in public view. You should do the same, if it’s within the realm of possibility. No, not the doffing part – the taking-your-spouse/significant-other out to lunch part! Go on, plan your weekend, make googley eyes at each other, play footsey under the table. Call AAA and get a TripTik for a color tour if you’re east of the Race you. Last one to the restaurant has to drive on Sunday.
