| Rayne Today Searching for dharma, in spite of the weather... Beanie Babies => Tools and beer
Heh. I hate Beanie Babies. I never understood why any mass-produced stuffed animal could be so valuable to collectors. They’re not like rare hundred-year-old Steiff bears or the like, after all. Just plushy piles of polyester and nylon, no real art or craftwork involved in their production. I’d meet girlfriends for drinks, talk about politics and the workplace only to eventually find myself bored to tears as the chat moved to who got what new Beanie and where for how much. <yawn> Hence my laughter after reading this post on eBay where one poor chap auctioned some of his ex-wife’s Beanie flipping Babies. Heh. I’m still laughing about it. Buddy, smart move. What’d you get with that winning bid money anyhow? A nice DeWalt cordless 18V circular saw and a case of PBR? I’d have done the same thing. Winter is coming. Soon. Picture taken looking west from southern shore of Lake Superior this morning -- about 30 miles west of Marquette. Brrrr... 10:55:51 AM
