Yeah, I know, Halloween has come and gone – it’s All Saints Day today.

It’s still a triple-witching hour here.

My stepson arrives here today for the first time since he was on leave two years ago, for the first time since he went to Iraq.  The kids are a-twitter, making “Welcome Home!” signs to plaster all over the house.

My parents arrive this evening; they’ll be staying with us for a few days before they head south for the winter.  This also has the household motoring in a burst of housecleaning.

And some time in the next 24 hours, my husband’s closest friend shows up for an annual golf outing, the last one of the season.  I am commanded to make my personal specialty, Raynie’s Bloody Marys for the occasion.

You’ll understand, of course, why blogging might be a bit on the light side for the next 24 to 48 hours.

I suspect we will all (save for the kids) be drinking Raynie’s Bloody Marys tomorrow morning, whether we’re going golfing or not.
