Ork?

Okay, so I finally broke down and joined Orkut.  After reading many articles and blog posts I have to wonder: what's all the fuss about?

Anybody? anybody?

On getting a clue

Compare this report on Trippi's ETCon speech yesterday, with this one and then this one.

Makes me wonder why anyone should trust the mainstream media at all.  One of these reports is nearly a free-flow of consciousness documentation of the speech as conducted.  It's certainly not the bit published by Reuters.

The real problem is that the most reliable voters don't question the mainstream media.  They believe that the press is still neutral, still on the beat for them and not for the corporate dollar.  The general public believes that folks who break open and hunt down the big stories of corruption and abuse like Watergate are still employed with the Fourth Estate.

Wake up, people.  Get a clue.  It's been thirty years since Watergate and even Woodward has sold out, writing nothing but soporific pap (don't waste your time on "Bush at War", what a snoozy hack job).

There is little truth where there is money.

Petition: He said he'd apologize if no WMD

"Bill O'Reilly said he would apologize to the country if no WMD were found in Iraq, and he should stick to his word..."

You know what to do.

(Actually, I've read elsewhere O'Reilly said he'd quit.  If only...)

"Join the sunset competition", says Dr. Omed.

Okay, gotcha', here's one of my favorites. Labor Day weekend on Lake Superior's south shore.
