So the U.S., in spite of its burgeoning deficit, spent mucho dinero on the defense of democracy and a legitimate vote in Ukraine.

Two questions come to mind:

1)  When will they invest matching funds in Ohio to do the same?

2)  What democracy or republic will come to the defense of a legitimate vote in Ohio and donate money to the cause?

Lights twinkling on the glitter ball, fluorescent colors glowing under blacklight.

Pre-teens skating in tight clusters, whispering.

Little kids spilling all over the place.

Parents looking on dully, the occasional dorky parent skating at a weird and frenetic pace.

Funky Town and the Village People's YMCA playing loudly over head.

Upside: I have two hours to read. 

Downside: Reading at the skating rink with techno playing at full volume in the background (didn't get those noice-canceling headphones for my birthday, either).

Upside: I have time to draft a blog post.

Downside: See above.  At the skating rink.
