Yeah, you, the one who hates the place we find ourselves at in spite of voting Democrat for the last several elections.
Go to http://www.meetup.com and find the Meetups closest to you. Find one that's progressive, like you.
And f*cking RSVP for the next one.
You can change the world by starting here.
You can REALLY change the world by getting engaged and taking the next step.
Like going to http://dfa.meetup.com and finding the nearest DFA Meetup.
And then stepping up to the plate and showing up.
Then go to the next Democratic Party meeting.
Ask a really, REALLY stupid question, one like: What's your initiatives for 2005? 2006?
I asked the stupid questions and they treated me like a rockstar. They put me on committees, nominated me to write policy. I wrote and submitted seven -- count 'em, SEVEN resolutions -- for the local county party this week.
One was tabled for the March meeting (it was too much, too fast for them), the rest passed and will move up to the state party to be considered for the state party platform.
I've only gone to two party meetings and the convention. Easy. Free coffee and donuts. All the old men (or women) fawning over you that you can handle. Even a call from the state party executive offices this week.
And a chance to REALLY change the world.
So get off your butt.
Now.
We're counting on you. The fate of the world hangs on you.

Meeting with the county party this morning, hoping outcome will influence the state party convention in two weeks.
And hubby may need help pulling wire at the house after the meeting.
Blogging will probably be light.
What about you? what's going on this weekend?
