
The finish contractor put a lovely radius on the counter top.
I asked how he determined the radius, whether it was a 2" radius or not, how he scribed it on the edge.
Naturally I figured he had some sort of jig with a scribing device that might set the distance for a router or saw.
He whipped off the top of his coffee cup, marked it with a pencil and said he used a band sander to smooth off the corner.
Et voila! A radius that's not too sharp for the laminate surface and still leaves adequate maple trim.
And no sharp corner on which a kid could whack their head.
