Funniest joke ever

LaughLab asked numerous people to contribute jokes and to rate them. Based on the result, here is the joke people across the world thought was most funny:

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy takes out his phone and calls the emergency services.

He gasps: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a gunshot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says: "OK, now what?"

Personally, I laughed the most at the last paragraph in CNN's story:

"Many jokes submitted contained references to animals. Jokes mentioning ducks were considered particularly funny."

But then I am known to be weird, and for mentioning birds a lot in this blog...

While speaking of spoiled pets...

"Britons are spending more than ever pampering their pets with gifts and "gourmet" food. The nation's cats and dogs are increasingly enjoying a lavish lifestyle as owners try to "humanise" them, says a new report." (Ananova)

As long as they don't pamper them with PhD's. (If you didn't get it, read on...)

Alphabet soup, anyone?

Steve K. Dubrow Eichel, Ph.D., ABPP is one psychologist who realizes that the impressive-sounding letters behind names are not always worth more than the paper they are written on. In fact, he got so tired of bogus creditentials that he decided to play a joke on diploma mills and various therapist's associations.

The result of his work was a number of impressive creditentials heaped on who now became Dr. Zoe D. Katze, Ph.D., C.Ht., DAPA.

Those who understand a bit of German may see the joke immediately.

Zoe d. Katze is of course Zoe the Cat. Actually, it is Dr. Eichel's cat, who presumably have limited expertise in the field of psychotherapy. On humans, anyway.
