Rapid Progress in Sri Lanka Peace Talks Talks between the Tamil Tiger rebels and the Sri Lanka government is reported to lead to 'surprsingly fast progress.' The Norwegian-brokered peace talks in Thailand has already begun concentrating on the efforts in converting the once ruthless guerialla organisation into a poltitical organisation, and is tackling the hard questions in quick succession.. 3:48:03 PM    comment []

Is the Microsoft Court Ordeal Finally Over? "So long as the parties agree to minor modifications in the settlement -- and no one files another appeal -- experts say the never-ending legal battle could actually be winding to a close." (Wired) My take: This has been a game of sore losers, started by companies who had been beaten by Microsoft in the marketplace and chose to rely on lawyers instead of engineers.
