MSN Messenger Unavailable

I hope it's just not me, but I have been unable to log into MSN Messenger for almost 24 hours. The service status page says "minor difficulties" which I guess is microsoftese for 'totally f&%#ed up.'

Laptop Burns Penis

A Swedish scientist learned the hard way that he should not have taken the word 'laptop' too literally. He was sitting with his laptop in his lap, writing for about one hour. The next day he discovered irritation and serious blisters on and around his penis.

He recalled that the heat from his laptop computer had caused some discomfort at the time, even through his trousers and underwear, but he thought moving the laptop around relieved it.

It took more than a weak for the equipment to be fully operable again. Presumably, the laptop is now placed on a table.

Bush asks about Norwegian Budget Negotiations

Bush and Blair having a good timeUS President George Bush (picture, with Tony Blair) has not been known for initmate knowledge about the events in foreign countries. It raised a few eyebrows when Bush today, during a break in the NATO talks in Prague, went over to the Norwegian prime minister Kjell Magne Bondevik to ask about the latest news in the ongoing discussions between the governing centre-right coalition and the populiast right-wing progress party.

News about those talks would be of interest to the Norwegian people too, but it's quite possible that Bush currently knows more about them than we do.

From a Norwegian article in Aftenposten.
