Iraq dossier implicates western firms
According to a German newspaper, who claims to have seen leaked copies of the "censored" version of Iraq's arms report, it lists around 150 foreign firms that helped Saddam with his weapons of mass destruction programmes. Among them are 80 German, 10 French, 24 US and an unknown number of Bristsh companies. In some cases the companies helped Iraq with its conventional weapons until last year.
It is widely speculated that the leak did not come from any Security Council member, but from iraq, who has every interest in emberrassing the western nations.

One step closer to war
Both Britain and the US today issued harsh criticism of Iraq's weapons dossier. They mention omissions, gaps and falsehoods. Still, both stopped short of saying Iraq was in material breach of Resolution 1441, and will wait with a formal response until chief inspector Hans Blix has given his assessment of the report.
The next step is the arms inspectors demanding Iraqi scientists who have been involved in arms development to be interviewed outside Iraq, If this step is resisted, that may well constitute a serious violation of the resolution.
For what it's worth, Slate's Saddameter estimates the chance of an invasion to have increased to 66% today.

You googled me!
Somebody googled me for arm wrestiling, and I was mildly surprised that an old blog entry mentioning it in passing came up as number #7. Google really, really likes bloggers!
