Mahathir: criticism proves that Jews really rule the world
Malaysia's controversial prime minister Mahathir Mohamad restates his claim that the Jews control the world, and argues that the widespread criticism of his anti-Semitic remarks proves him right.
"In my speech I condemned all violence, even the suicide bombings, and I told all Muslims it's about time we stopped all these things and paused to think and do something that is much more productive," he said in a lengthy interview with the Bangkok Post.
"That was the whole tone of my speech, but they picked up one sentence where I said that the Jews control the world.
"Well, the reaction of the world shows they control the world."
Yes, I have to admit it. There is a Jew standing behind me, forcing me to write that Mahathir is a delusional moron.

Rumsfeld: Iraq, Afghanistan wars will be a "long, hard slog"
Check out the memo Rumsfeld sent to other top officials about the war on terror.
Today, we lack metrics to know if we are winning or losing the global war on terror. Are we capturing, killing or deterring and dissuading more terrorists every day than the madrassas and the radical clerics are recruiting, training and deploying against us?
Does the US need to fashion a broad, integrated plan to stop the next generation of terrorists? The US is putting relatively little effort into a long-range plan, but we are putting a great deal of effort into trying to stop terrorists. The cost-benefit ratio is against us! Our cost is billions against the terrorists' costs of millions.
Rather than saying the US is losing, the memo at least shows that the Bush administration is asking the right questions. But I doubt creating a new Department of Defence to deal with terrorists is the right answer.
It is pretty clear that the coalition can win in Afghanistan and Iraq in one way or another, but it will be a long, hard slog.
If you are a bit cynical you may be tempted to speculate that the memo, and especially it being made public, is the result of Rumsfeld feeling that he has been sidelined, and wants to take back the initiative.

Labour expells George Galloway
British member of parliament George Galloway has been expulsed from the Labour party for bringing the party into disrespute.
Among the charges, the most serious were that he encouraged British troops to refuse to fight in the Iraq war, and inciting Arab countries to rise up and fight against the coalition.
As expected, in his defence Galloway and his supportes has argued he is being expulsed for opposing the war. He has refused to apologise for any of his statements. Galloway is a traitor, pure and simple.
This decision was not related to the serious charges that Galloway received bribes from Saddam Hussein. Galloway has sued the Telegraph for libel over these claims. The newspaper stands by its story.

What is partial-birth abortion?
A medical doctor who performs abortions wonders what exactly is banned. He seems puzzled by the new legislation.
I don't know the answers to the questions I've posed above, and neither does Congress. No physician expert on late abortion has ever testified in person before a congressional committee. No peer-reviewed articles or case reports have ever been published describing anything such as "partial-birth" abortion, "Intact D&E" (for "dilation and extraction"), or any of its synonyms. There have been no descriptions of its complication rates and no published studies comparing its complication rates with those of any other method of late abortion.
No surprises there.
