Citizen, arrest yourself
A webpage that purports to be the official site of the police in East Point, Ga, has put out a hilarious self arrest form.
When a crime is committed, you have the right to make a "Citizen's Arrest". Thus, if YOU commit a crime, it would be extremely helpful for you to perform a Citizen's Self-Arrest. Fill out the form, to complete your Citizen's Self-Arrest.
That's one way to make the point that the police needs more resources.

Study: Women with big boobies have higher IQ
A study of American women has found an unexpected correlation between breast size and intelligence.
"Although I hate to admit it, we found that women with big busts average 10 IQ points higher than less well-endowed women," reveals lead researcher Dr. Yvonne Rossdale, herself a meager 32A.
"The myth that women with voluptuous figures are not smart should now be shelved, along with the misconception that all blondes are dumb."
Dr. Rossdale measured the busts of women in Illinois, Kansas and Ohio and then divided them into five categories: Extra-small, Small, Medium, Large and Extra-large. These categories roughly corresponded to commercially available bra sizes, A, B,C, D and DD or above.
She then gave subjects in each category a standard IQ test and found that women in the Large and Extra-large category scored an average of 10 points higher than women in the Small and Extra-small categories. Medium-sized ladies had a three- to four-point edge over the flat-chested group.
"This is a wake up call to employers to drop the notion that women with large breasts are dumb," Dr. Rossdale says.
"Rather than automatically assuming that a woman with tremendous 'hooters' belongs in the typing pool, she should be considered for the executive track."
Any warning bells yet? Of course this is another made-up story from the Weekly World News, brought online through Yahoo! entertainment. Dr. Yvonne Rossdale does not exist, and the study is just made up.
That didn't prevent the Norwegian online newspaper Nettavisen from bringing this great news to all our local large breasted blondes, attributing the story to Yahoo! News. It also gave them an excuse for using a nice picture to capture the reader's attention, and I take that lesson.

Crack this!
"DVD" Jon Lech Johansen (picture) is probably the world's most famous Norwegian. The now 20 year old computer programmer's first claim to fame was his role in making and distributing the DVD crack called DeCSS. Now he has published code for "QTFairUse", a routine decrypting digital rights managment (DRM) technology so downloaded Apple iTunes files can be copied and distributed at will.
Johansen was in January acquitted by a Norwegian court for violating any law when he distributed DeCSS. The case has been appealed.
His blog, appropriately named So Sue Me, has been down since this story broke big time in the news.

What did they expect?
Abrie Kruger from South Africa won the prestigious World's Biggest Liar competition in Cumbria. But this year's competition was a real scandal, and the other contestants are accusing the winner of cheating.
Wouldn't that make him a doubly qualified winner?

EU stopped race report accusing Muslims of anti-Jewish attacks
The European Union's anti-racism body asked the Anti-Semitism Research Institute of Berlin's Technical University to investigate the increase in attacks against Jews across Europe, but didn't like the conclusions of the findings.
The EU body has refused to publish the report, saying it is badly written and researched, but correspondence reveals that what the EU really objected to was the findings. The EU would have no problems with findings against right-wing extremists, the traditional anti-Semites in Europe, and maybe it would also have grudingly conceded accusations against leftist "anti-globalisation" groups. What stuck in the EU's PC filter, though, was the conclusion that anti-Jewish attacks in Europe were to a lagre degree done by young Muslim immigrants from Africa and the Middle East. They also found that anti-Semitism correlated with anti-Israel protests.
The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia had objections to the mention of Muslim perpetrators of hate crimes, as they see the young Muslims as victims of racism themselves (no doubt true) and thus they can't themselves be accused of racism (this is where the logic breaks down).
Many Eurocrats live in a parallel universe where they think reality conforms to their ideology. They think by defining away problems, the problems truly disappear.

Nigeria tired of "419" scam
Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has had enough of his country being associated with the so-called Nigerian or "419" scams (after the penal code it violates), where you receive a letter proposing some shady individuals use your bank account for money laundering for a hefty percentage of the profit (in reality, you have to pay various, increasing fees for being allowed to take part, which is the scam part).
The 419 scam has been so successful in the past 20 years that according to Reuters news agency it is a significant foreign exchange earner in Nigeria.
But BBC world affairs correspondent Mark Doyle says the government is keen to stamp out the fraud as it is giving Nigeria a bad name.
The country's anti-fraud squad has arrested more than 200 people, including a federal lawmaker, since May for alleged involvement in computer fraud.
There is obviously an endless supply of idiots across the world, who get so greedy they fall for the most transparent ploy imaginable.
